On the evening of March 5, at the Dien Bien Provincial Multi-purpose Sports Center, the Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) in coordination with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers (CNVCLĐ) Air Volleyball Tournament.
The volleyball tournament has the participation of 21 teams from 15 delegations, with more than 200 athletes, competing in 2 competition categories: women's team and mixed men's and women's team.
Speaking at the opening of the tournament, Ms. Lau Thi Thanh Huong - Vice President of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that in recent years, the sports movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province has increasingly developed, contributing to improving the health and spiritual life of workers; and at the same time strengthening solidarity and attachment between agencies and units.
According to Ms. Lau Thi Thanh Huong, the tournament is organized to practically celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress; celebrate the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term; celebrate the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8th) and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th).
After the opening ceremony, matches took place with many beautiful, attractive plays, attracting enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
The 2026 Dien Bien Provincial Workers and Employees Volleyball Tournament will take place continuously from August 5th. 3.
