On May 26, information from the Department of Construction said that Dong Nai province is inviting investors to the Dong Nai 2 bridge project connecting from Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 (at Go Cong intersection in Long Thanh My ward, Thu Duc city) to connect with DT 777B route (in Tam An commune, Long Thanh district) with a scale of 8 lanes including 6 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles.
The project is located in Tam An commune, Long Thanh district, with a total investment of about VND18,584 billion, in the form of BOT investment, combined with BT exploiting land funds.
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee is proposing to the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to consult the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to approve the policy for the Provincial People's Committee to organize research on investment plans.
Previously, in mid-April 2025, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City regarding the implementation of traffic connection projects between the two localities. In particular, Dong Nai proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee coordinate in implementing projects to build 3 road bridges across the Dong Nai River, including: Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge, Phu My 2 bridge and Dong Nai 2 bridge.
