On January 7, the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board just proposed to accelerate the site clearance progress of the 25B road upgrade project from the center of Nhon Trach commune to National Highway 51 to be put into operation in 2026, connecting Long Thanh airport and Ho Chi Minh City.
The project to upgrade road 25B from the center of Nhon Trach commune to National Highway 51 is more than 9km long, with a total investment of 1,493 billion VND, currently the site has been handed over about 70%, and the construction progress has reached over 29%.
According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, during the construction of sidewalk items, the parallel road on the left side of the route (direction from National Highway 51 to the center of Nhon Trach commune) encountered problems due to households re-encroaching on the land that had been compensated and supported in the previous investment phase of the project, affecting the construction progress.
Regarding the relocation of the D600 water supply pipeline, Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company has relocated 1,300/1,400m, entangled about 100m due to households re-encroaching on the ground.
The Project Investment and Construction Management Board of Dong Nai province proposed that the People's Committees of Long Thanh and Nhon Trach communes support the notification and mobilization of relocating households re-encroaching on the left side of the route (direction from National Highway 51 to the center of Nhon Trach commune) out of the project construction area.
The Land Fund Development Center of Long Thanh and Nhon Trach branches is accelerating the progress of compensation and site clearance, prioritizing the handover of land plots to deploy the construction of the drainage system and the remaining road on the right side of the route. At the same time, the underpass at Km3+576 has started construction, requesting Nhon Trach Commune People's Committee to accelerate the construction progress to ensure the traffic opening progress of the entire route.
The project to upgrade road 25B from the center of Nhon Trach commune to National Highway 51 was started in December 2024, the completion time according to the February 2026 contract.
The above project, along with the provincial road construction project 25C (from Huong Lo 19 to National Highway 51), are projects implemented by Dong Nai with the aim of connecting traffic from Long Thanh airport to Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the plan, provincial roads 25B and 25C will connect Long Thanh airport through National Highway 51 to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, reducing the load on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
