On June 30, the Office of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province said that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai has just signed a decision approving a 50% reduction in the time to resolve 3 administrative procedures in the field of aquaculture. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
The procedure for supporting the removal of records for fishing vessels that do not need to operate exploitation has been shortened from 15 working days to 7 working days.
For procedures to support career change, the processing time is reduced from 10 days to 5 working days. Similarly, procedures to support upgrading and replacing vessel monitoring equipment to meet regulations and maintain connection of vessel monitoring equipment system are also shortened from 10 days to 5 working days.
According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, shortening the time to resolve administrative procedures is to create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals when carrying out dossiers, helping people and businesses to receive results soon while still ensuring the correct procedures and regulations of law.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize the implementation of the plan, and at the same time be responsible for ensuring that the dossier is resolved on time or earlier than the approved time for each specific case. The Office of the Provincial People's Committee is assigned to monitor, guide, urge and inspect the implementation at agencies, units, and localities to ensure that the plan is implemented synchronously and effectively.
The 50% reduction in the processing time of 3 administrative procedures in the seafood sector is expected to contribute to improving the quality of service for people, reducing waiting times, and at the same time continuing to improve the investment and business environment and promote the administrative reform process in Dong Thap province.
