On January 8, the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee sent a document to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to consider and approve the organization of the groundbreaking ceremony, groundbreaking, and technical opening of projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party and celebrate the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026).
According to the document, on January 15, Dong Nai will organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cat Lai bridge project and the Long Hung bridge project (Dong Nai 2 bridge).
In addition, the province will also start construction and technically open 5 other projects on January 15 to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party; Start construction and technically open 5 works and projects on February 3 to celebrate the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026).
Previously, on December 10, 2025, the 8th session of the 10th Dong Nai Provincial People's Council approved the draft Resolution on the policy of investing in the construction of Cat Lai bridge and Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge) in the form of public-private partnership.
The Cat Lai bridge construction investment project has a total estimated investment of nearly 18,300 billion VND. The project has a total project length of more than 11.6 km, the project starting point is in Cat Lai ward, Ho Chi Minh City and the project ending point intersects with the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. The investor proposing the project is Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC.
The investment project to build Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge) has a total estimated investment of about 11,495 billion VND, total bridge and route length of about 9.8 km. The project starts in Long Phuoc ward (Ho Chi Minh City) and ends at the intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway. The investor proposing the project is the Consortium of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC - CC1 Investment Joint Stock Company - Southern Infrastructure and Energy Joint Stock Company (CC1 Consortium).
These are urgent projects that need to be implemented to serve the operation of Long Thanh International Airport, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and socio-economic development of Dong Nai province.
