Early morning of January 10, the People's Committee of Pham Ngu Lao Ward coordinated with the ward police force (District 1) to suddenly inspect all bars on Bui Vien walking street.
There, the authorities discovered several violations of fire prevention and fighting, the failure to sign labor contracts with employees, and signs of laughing gas trafficking. At a bar, the police seized 3 laughing gas cylinders and warned the users.
This campaign is part of a plan to inspect and rectify law enforcement at sensitive business establishments in Pham Ngu Lao ward.
Through inspection, most of the establishments strictly complied with Resolution 173/2024/QH15 on the prohibition of production, trading, import, storage, transportation, and use of electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products, and addictive gases and substances that are harmful to human health, effective from January 1, 2025. However, the use of laughing gas still occurs in some locations.
In the coming time, the authorities of Pham Ngu Lao ward will strengthen inspection and control of the trading and use of prohibited products in Resolution 173/2024/QH15.
Illegal trading and use of electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products, and other gases and addictive substances that are harmful to human health will be strictly handled according to the provisions of law. The goal is to ensure that violations will be detected promptly and handled thoroughly.
