The Ring Road 4 project in the Capital region section passing through Hanoi is about 58km long, passing through 17 communes and wards.
To implement the Ring Road 4 project, Hanoi city must recover 800.15 hectares of land and relocate 9,039 graves.
Up to now, wards and communes have completed the construction of 13/13 resettlement areas, completed land acquisition, site clearance, moved graves, and moved underground and aboveground works to ensure progress.
Component project 2.1 - construction of the parallel road of Ring Road 4 has 4 bidding packages with 11 contractors participating in construction.
Talking to Lao Dong on February 9, Mr. Do Ngoc Sam - Commander of package No. 8, Truong Son Construction Corporation (Ministry of National Defense) said that the construction volume of package No. 8 has reached about 95% to date.
At the end of 2025, the contractor received the remaining land area from the local authorities. These locations are being constructed by the contractor for the crushed stone grade item.
The lighting system has been installed on the route. The asphalt pavement item is about to be completed. The intersection with National Highway 23B and the North-South railway overpass on the Hanoi - Lao Cai line will be asphalted after the Lunar New Year.
It is expected that the contractor will complete all items in March 2026" - Mr. Sam said.
At package No. 9, constructed by Vietnam Import-Export and Construction Corporation - Vinaconex, the current progress is about 85%.
With a length of more than 20km, this is the largest bidding package for the parallel road of Ring Road 4 in the Capital region section passing through Hanoi.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - Commander of package No. 9 said that the package progress is still being ensured according to the set plan. The contractor is committed to completing the package in June 2026 according to the direction of Hanoi city.
In the next one or two days, workers will proceed to clean up the construction site, close entrances and exits to the project at intersections to ensure traffic safety during the Lunar New Year holiday. It is expected that around the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, engineers and workers will return to the construction site to work, completing the remaining items of the project" - Mr. Hai said.
Similarly, package No. 10 and package No. 11 are also being deployed simultaneously by contractors with many construction fronts, ensuring progress according to the plan.
For component project 3 - investing in the construction of the expressway according to the public-private partnership (PPP) method, investors are focusing on organizing the construction of key items, including Hong Ha, Me So, Hoai Thuong bridges and overpass sections on the route.
According to the Hanoi Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, investors are focusing resources, striving to accelerate construction progress, complete the main route before the APEC 2027 Conference, and closely follow the direction of the Government and the Project Steering Committee.
