On August 29, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a dialogue conference with businesses in 2025.
The conference was held directly at Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat) connecting online with 2 connecting points in Phan Thiet and Gia Nghia with the participation of representatives of hundreds of enterprises and cooperatives.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that after the merger (Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dak Nong), the locality has many advantages in minerals, tourism, and high-tech agriculture.
The above advantages combined with the transport infrastructure system such as airports and highways will create new development, promising to reap many successes.
Mr. Ho Van Muoi said that Lam Dong province organized a business dialogue conference to discuss and identify the difficulties and problems that businesses are facing to share and resolve.
At the conference, Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Ha, representative of Utisys Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared that the company has a Utisys luxury hotel complex project in Trai Luoi village, Lien Huong commune, Lam Dong. This project was granted an investment registration certificate in 2010 but has not been implemented yet.
According to Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Ha, the project has a total area of 54.7 hectares and has fulfilled financial obligations, paid compensation for replacement forest planting, environmental protection fees, and implemented investment with a total amount of about 130 billion VND.
In 2024, the company received information that 54.7 hectares of the project had 38.4 hectares overlapping with mineral planning 866 (Decision No. 866/2023 of the Prime Minister on the Planning for mineral exploration, exploitation, processing and use for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050), so some items could not be implemented.
The overlap in mineral planning was later determined by the Ministry of Industry and Trade planning in the wrong coordinate.
Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Ha said that the overlap in mineral planning has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and is being handled by the competent authority. For the area that is not overlapping, the company proposed that the authorities allow the implementation but has not yet been approved.
"This is our passionate project but we have been waiting for 15 years. The delay in implementation has caused us to miss many investment opportunities and suffer economic losses. We really hope Lam Dong province will consider the project so that it can be implemented and put into operation soon," said Ms. Ha.
Regarding the problems at the Utisys luxury hotel complex, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has acknowledged and will directly resolve them in September.
At the dialogue conference, representatives of enterprises with investment projects in Lam Dong province made recommendations and proposals to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to remove difficulties in planning, investment procedures, tax fees, land rental prices, administrative procedures, etc.
Many recommendations of the corporate secretary were directly responded to or recorded by leaders of Lam Dong province, representatives of departments and branches to have a solution for handling in the coming time.
