The project to build a 4,800 billion VND road will accelerate and expand the connection between Tay Ninh - Ho Chi Minh City

Tay Ninh - The 823D road construction project, with a total capital of more than VND4,800 billion, is accelerating construction, expected to be completed in 2025, and will connect directly with Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the reporter's records, up to now, more than 75% of the project has been completed. Many sections on route 823D have been paved, ready for lane division lines. Items such as roadbed, drainage system, curbs and median strip have also been basically completed. The rate of crushed stone aggregate is nearly 98%, while the asphalt concrete layer is over 52%.

Provincial Road 823D is more than 14km long, starting at the intersection of National Highway N2 - Ho Chi Minh Road, ending at the Northwest route (Ranh Canal).

The project is designed modernly with 4 main lanes, 2 parallel lanes, and a 40m wide roadbed. The traffic light system and signs are installed synchronously, contributing to creating a new look for the traffic infrastructure at the Northwest gateway.

The project started construction at the end of 2021. Of the total investment capital of more than VND 4,800 billion, more than VND 1,100 billion is for construction costs, the rest is for compensation and site clearance.

There are currently 9 construction teams operating simultaneously on the entire route, of which the roundabout at the intersection between Provincial Road 823D and Provincial Road 824 is being implemented at an urgent pace.

Route 823D plays a particularly important role when directly connecting with strategic traffic routes such as National Highway N2, Ho Chi Minh Road and Ring Roads 2, 3, 4 of Ho Chi Minh City.

After completion, the route will not only expand development space but also create a valuable clean land fund, creating a competitive advantage in attracting domestic and foreign investors. In addition, route 823D is also expected to promote industrial and logistics development in the period of 2025 - 2030.

The route passes through many industrial parks and large urban areas, connecting with large-scale projects such as Vinhomes Green City, Lucky City in Duc Hoa district, Long An formerly (now in Tay Ninh).

According to the Project Management Board, contractors are being required to both speed up construction and complete acceptance and payment documents to ensure progress.

When completed, route 823D will become a new traffic artery, contributing to making Tay Ninh a dynamic growth pole of the Southern economic region.
