sophisticated tricks, many people fall into scams
Taking advantage of the reputation and trust of customers in the brand and the "fear of missing out" mentality of buyers, the subjects set up fanpages, websites, and Facebook accounts impersonating big brands, copying logos, images, and medical content as real.
With just one click on a "gold promotion" link or an online ordering conversation, buyers can easily be lured to transfer their deposit without ever receiving gold.
The case of Mr. L.H.N (in Van Mieu, Hanoi) being scammed out of nearly 400 million VND on September 13, 2025 is a warning. In a report to Bao Tin Minh Chau, he said that he had transferred nearly 400 million VND through a Facebook page impersonating this brand, scheduled after 2 days of delivering gold. Only after transferring the money did he suspect and went directly to the counter at 29 Tran Nhan Tong to verify and report.
It is worth mentioning that this is not an isolated case. Ms. P.T.H (in Hoai Duc, Hanoi) also bought gold through a fake Facebook page of Bao Tin Minh Chau. Ms. Hong said that on September 13, 2025, she transferred 390 million VND to buy 3 taels of gold to an account number under the name of Phu Quy Minh Chau Company Limited. After transferring the money, Ms. Hong realized that she had been scammed and went to the police station in Hoai Duc to report. Ms. Hong added that the website was currently blocked from Facebook and she could not contact him.
Talking to Lao Dong reporter, Bao Tin Minh Chau media department said that in just 2 days, this unit had verified 11 cases of customers falling into similar traps.
Currently, many fanpages with blue documents and Facebook accounts impersonating big brands such as Bao Tin Minh Chau, DOJI, PNJ... post fake gold promotion information for profit.
Some of the fake tricks that are often used by subjects in cyberspace include using names, representative photos, cover photos, similar articles of legitimate brands to deceive customers; sending links, asking for personal information or transferring money to receive fake "ghosts" or organizing fake promotional programs, luring customers to transfer money, deposit.
Enterprises issue warnings
Faced with the increasingly common and sophisticated situation of fraud, businesses must continuously issue warnings.

On the official fanpage, DOJI Group had to post a warning when receiving feedback about some investors who suffered billions of VND in losses because they trusted this fake information; at the same time, calling on people and investors to be extremely vigilant, absolutely not to transfer money, provide personal information to any individuals or organizations impersonating DOJI in particular and big brands in general.
Similarly, Bao Tin Minh Chau has posted a warning when many Fanpages with green ngan ngan and fake Facebook accounts appeared to post fake information, especially posting fake "gold gift promotion programs" for the purpose of profiteering and appropriating property.
