HCMC - According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, widespread thunderstorms will return in the coming days.

Weather forecast for the next 24-48 hours, the continental cold high pressure will continue to strengthen to the South. Storm No. 14 is active in the eastern area of the North East Sea, gradually weakening, moving in the North Northeast direction, then changing direction to the Northeast out of the East Sea.

The Northeast wind will gradually strengthen over the southern seas. Above, the subtropical high pressure has an axis through the North Central region.

Weather forecast for the next 3-10 days, the continental cold high pressure will continue to strengthen to the South and will be strengthened more strongly around November 17-18. The Northeast wind will gradually strengthen over the southern sea area.

From November 16-18, the equatorial low pressure trough tends to lift its axis to the North and affect the weather in the area. At the same time, high above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the North Central region tends to encroach on the West from 14-15.11, the East wind disturbance will gradually strengthen in the area during the period from 16-18.11.

Therefore, from November 16-18, thunderstorms will increase and occur in many places, with moderate rain in some places, locally heavy to very heavy rain, the rain will be concentrated in the evening and at night.

Regarding high tides, the highest water level of the day at most stations on the Saigon River will decrease slowly in the next 2-3 days, then change slowly. Due to the discharge from reservoirs upstream, the water level at stations remains at approximately alert level I; Thu Dau Mot station is at a high level from alert level 2-3.

It is necessary to be on guard against heavy rain combined with high tides causing flooding in low-lying areas, along rivers, affecting traffic and socio-economic activities in the Ho Chi Minh City area.
