According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the continental cold high pressure continues to weakly strengthen, shifting eastward to the southern part of China and the north of our country. Interspersed are days when the hot low pressure area in the West develops, gradually expanding to the East. Above, the subtropical high pressure operates with its main axis through the Central and Southern regions.
The South is mainly affected by the Southeast edge of the hot low pressure area to the West at the low level, combined with a subtropical high pressure above. Northeast winds in the offshore sea area of the Southeast region maintain weak to moderate intensity, towards the end of the month, there is a tendency to gradually shift to the East to Southeast direction.
Compared to March, the rainfall in April in the Southern region tends to increase, generally at a level close to the multi-year average. The number of rain days ranges from about 6-10 days.
The average temperature in April increased compared to March, generally approximately to higher than the multi-year average. The highest temperature ranges from 32-35 degrees C, especially in the Eastern region, some places are 36-39 degrees C. The lowest temperature is commonly from 23-26 degrees C, in the Eastern region, some places are below 23 degrees C.
Hot weather tends to increase in both days and intensity. At the same time, it is necessary to be wary of unseasonal thunderstorms that may be accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind, potentially causing damage to people and property.
