Research on a roadmap for green transportation transformation and sustainable tourism development
Da Nang is one of many localities that are making efforts to green transformation to develop tourism. Recently, the Da Nang Department of Construction said that the locality is studying a roadmap for green transportation conversion to reduce pollution, protect the environment and develop sustainable tourism. This policy is issued to help Da Nang become green, clean and beautiful. Because electric motorbikes help reduce emissions, limit noise from exhaust pipes, and contribute to creating a quiet, fresh living space. This, according to the people, will improve the quality of life as well as support sustainable tourism development.
Solutions are being considered such as developing a specific roadmap for the conversion; studying policies to support people and businesses in the conversion process; promoting the development of public charging station infrastructure and in residential areas; propagating and raising public awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles.
The Department of Construction said that it will coordinate with relevant departments, branches and sectors to study and propose feasible solutions, while integrating them into the city's development programs and projects in the coming time.
Previously, in March 2023, Da Nang deployed a public bicycle model including 61 stations with about 600 bicycles. The bus stations are located in the (old) districts of Hai Chau with 32 locations, Thanh Khe with 5 locations, Son Tra with 16 locations, Ngu Hanh Son with 5 locations and Cam Le with 3 locations. Bicycle stations are located near bus stations to connect to the public passenger transport system.
The implementation of the public bicycle model aims to limit the need for motorbikes and personal cars and reduce environmental pollution, creating a habit for Da Nang people towards a green, clean life. According to the plan, in 2025, 1,000 VinFast electric cars will be deployed in Da Nang to serve rental services, promoting the green tourism model.
