On January 6, Mr. Dinh Van Nha - Commander of the Military Command (CHQS) of Minh Long commune said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to organize the safe handling and relocation of many explosives left over from the war, discovered by people in villages in the commune.

According to the Military Command of Minh Long commune, in two days from January 5th to 6th, functional forces handled and safely relocated an 81 mm mortar shell in Ca Xen village; a bomb weighing about 110 kg, with great lethality, in Lang Tre village and a rocket shell about 50 cm long in village 1. Currently, there is another rocket in village 3, expected to be collected in the afternoon of January 6th.
These explosives were discovered in acacia fields and people's rice fields, posing a serious risk of unsafety.
Functional agencies recommend that people when detecting bombs, mines, ammunition or objects suspected of being explosives left over from the war, absolutely do not arbitrarily approach, dig, or move, but need to quickly report to local authorities to promptly handle and prevent unfortunate consequences that may occur.
