On June 3, the People's Committee of Ea Rok commune (Dak Lak province) said that local functional forces coordinated with the Center for Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue and Forest Protection Management of Dak Lak province and the Area 3 Defense Command to successfully control a buffalo attacking people.
Previously, on the morning of June 2, a female buffalo of a resident in Ea Rok commune suddenly showed abnormal signs. In panic, the animal rushed in to attack, causing 4 people to be injured, and also affecting the lives of local people.
After receiving information, functional forces quickly arrived at the scene, deploying handling plans to ensure safety for people and surrounding areas.
The Dak Lak Provincial Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue and Forest Protection Management Center then used specialized guns to fire tranquilizers, successfully controlled the buffalo and handed it over to the owner.
According to the People's Committee of Ea Rok commune, the reason why the buffalo showed abnormal signs is being coordinated by functional agencies to verify and clarify.
Fortunately, the victims were only slightly injured. Among the 4 people who had to be hospitalized for treatment, 3 people have been discharged so far, and the remaining case is expected to be discharged in the afternoon of June 3.
