On the evening of February 22nd (5th day of Tet), thousands of people and tourists flocked to Nguyen Hue Flower Street to visit in the last hours before the closing ceremony. The sudden increase in the number of people caused the central streets of Ho Chi Minh City to become heavily congested.

According to records, from about 7 pm, crowds from all directions began to pour into the city center area. The closer to the closing time, the higher the traffic pressure became.
Key roads surrounding the Flower Street such as Le Thanh Ton, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Dong Khoi, Ly Tu Trong and Ton Duc Thang streets are all in a state of congestion and traffic jams. Long lines of vehicles line up, moving inch by inch towards Nguyen Hue Flower Street. Many people, because they were too impatient, had to leave their cars outside the parking lots from afar to walk into the area to admire.

It took me more than 45 minutes to move from Ba Son bridge to near the pedestrian street. I knew it would be crowded on the last day, but I didn't expect the number of vehicles to be so terrible," Mr. Minh Quan (resident of Tan Hung ward) shared while struggling to escape the crowd on Ton Duc Thang street.

At 9 pm on February 22, Binh Ngo City Flower Street Tet 2026 with the theme "Spring gathers - Steadfastly reaching out" officially closed after days of opening to serve throughout Tet.

This year, with innovation when bringing 2 versions of day and night experiences in the same space, Nguyen Hue Flower Street has attracted a record number of more than 1.8 million visitors to visit and admire. The combination of modern lighting technology and the traditional beauty of the horse mascot has created an irresistible attraction for this destination.

However, good news for those who have not had time to check in with the mascot this year is that the Organizing Committee decided to keep the two large scenes of the horse mascot at the main gate (in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters) and the mascot area at the end of the flower street for another month.

Keeping the mascots not only helps reduce the regret for tourists but also creates more check-in highlights for the city in January. It is expected that by tomorrow morning, traffic in the central area will return to normal after basic cleaning is completed.
