From 4 pm on February 22, the traffic volume of cars on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway in the direction of Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City increased sharply.
The line of vehicles followed each other stretching from about km199 to km208 - the location of the National Highway 28 intersection in Lam Dong province.

At many times, the car moves slowly, sometimes having to stop and wait before continuing to roll.
To reduce vehicle pressure, at about 5 pm on the same day, at the National Highway 28 intersection, the Traffic Police force organized to regulate and guide vehicles in the North - South direction to leave the expressway.

At the exit point, the line of vehicles lined up waiting to get off National Highway 28.
Many vehicles traveling on National Highway 28 moved to the intersection to enter the expressway, but the entrance was temporarily blocked.

The Traffic Police force of Highway Traffic Patrol and Control Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) has made efforts to divert and regulate traffic directions to avoid localized congestion.

About 3km from the intersection, the km205 rest stop area is also overcrowded. A series of cars stop to rest, causing the parking lot to always be fully booked.

Some drivers choose to drive along the opening of the rest stop, down to the people's service road and then find directions to National Highway 28 to avoid the section where cars are queuing in a long line on the highway.

By 6:30 pm, the traffic volume continued to increase. The flow of vehicles continued to move slowly. A Traffic Police team stood to regulate at the lane entry point from the rest stop to the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
The opposite direction is South - North on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, traffic flow is smooth.
