According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the inter-commune road of Due - Thanh (Cam Due - Cam Thanh) about 2.5km long from the headquarters of Cam Due Commune People's Committee to Kenh bridge (Cam Thanh commune) is currently severely degraded, peeling off in large areas, many potholes, making it difficult to travel, and potentially unsafe.

On the afternoon of March 21, Mr. Vo Ta Ky - Chairman of Cam Due Commune People's Committee - said that the Cam Due - Cam Thanh inter-commune road has recently been mainly used by trucks carrying construction materials for the North - South expressway through the area, causing the road to deteriorate heavily and making travel difficult.

In that situation, the local government has also reported to the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district and the Investor of the North - South Expressway Project, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section and the project contractor.

However, the investor said that due to the focus on the construction of the North - South expressway, repairs have not been able to be carried out. When the expressway construction is completed, the road will be repaired and returned to the route that was "borrowed" by the local government as originally committed.

The representative of the investor of the North - South expressway project, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section, said that after receiving the report from the local government, the unit has sent staff to coordinate with contractors to measure, count, and review degraded service road sections to soon repair and restore to the locality.
