Due to the impact of storm No. 1 Wutip, in recent days, there has been rain in Binh Dinh province, making the damage to road surfaces on many traffic routes even more serious. In particular, Provincial Road 629 connecting the mountainous district of An Lao to the section passing through An My Commune (Hoai An District) was peeling and severely damaged, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
According to the reflection of people living along Provincial Road 629, since the North-South expressway project through Hoai An district and Hoai Nhon town began construction, the number of trucks carrying materials from sand mines and soil serving the project has been too large. The long period of mass transportation by heavy trucks has caused the road surface to be eroded and severely damaged.

Faced with this situation, since May 2025, the Road Maintenance Management Board (Binh Dinh Provincial Department of Construction) has issued a document requesting the project investor - Project Management Board 2 and 85 (Ministry of Construction) to urgently repair and overcome damaged road surfaces on Provincial Roads 629, 630, 636 and 638 - routes being used to transport materials for expressway construction.
As for Provincial Road 629, the Road Maintenance Management Board has requested the investor to direct the construction unit to repair the damage at the sections Km0+00 to Km16+902 and Km35+740 to Km36+680, to ensure safety for vehicles and people traveling here.

On the afternoon of June 14, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of the Department of Construction of Binh Dinh province said that the province has repeatedly requested the Project Management Board 2 and 85 to urgently repair damaged roads due to expressway construction. However, the repair is still very slow.
"The sections of the expressway materials route are currently showing many peeling and seriously damaged locations. The province has continuously made recommendations but these Committees have not yet implemented the repair and restoration of the road surface," he said.

The leader of the Department of Construction of Binh Dinh province also said that the Department is directing technical forces to inspect and proactively repair damaged locations when the weather is favorable, in order to ensure traffic safety.
Recently, on June 9, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province continued to issue documents requesting Project Management Boards 2 and 85 to direct contractors to coordinate with local authorities to promptly repair and repair damaged roads due to the construction of the North - South Expressway, ensuring safe and smooth travel for people.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the above two Committees to inspect and completely resolve the addition of service roads, residential roads, drainage systems, technical ditches; propose solutions to handle the situation of siltation, water damage, compensation for cracks in people's houses; and a plan to relocate the residential power line system across the expressway...
