HCMC - The 14km-long, 4-lane elevated road passing through Thu Duc City (belonging to Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3) is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025.

Beltway 3 through Ho Chi Minh City is more than 47km long, of which the section through Thu Duc City is more than 14km long, designed as an elevated road with 4 lanes in phase 1.

On December 29, at the XL3 package (over 3km long) - one of the 5 packages passing through Thu Duc City, hundreds of engineers and workers are urgently constructing the viaduct piers and installing beams.

Up to now, after more than 18 months of construction, the project has installed girders in many sections of the overpass, especially the area passing through Vinhomes Grand Park urban area.

Package XL3 has reached nearly 40% of the work volume, while the remaining 4 packages have reached 15 - 20%.

Mr. Pham Van Thang - Deputy General Director of Thai Yen Construction Investment Joint Stock Company - a member of the consortium implementing the XL3 package, shared: "We are trying to organize construction in 3 shifts, working through Tet to ensure completion by the end of 2025".

Although construction has made much progress, site clearance still has some problems. The section through Vinhomes Grand Park has not been completely handed over due to 4 households.

Thu Duc City People's Committee commits to complete the handover of the site before December 31, 2024 so as not to affect the overall progress.
