On September 7, the Traffic Construction Project Management Board of Ca Mau province said that the Belt Road project outside Bac Lieu city phase 1 is being focused on construction by contractors, with a volume of more than 20%.
For the road section, the contractors have excavated the road frame for 6.54/9.54km, leveled 5.14/9.54km of sand. The bridge item has completed drilled piles for pile M1, piers T1, T2, T3 and 7/10 centers of drilled piles for pier T6. Concrete pouring of pier body T1, T2 and bridge girder of Bac Lieu - Ca Mau canal has also been completed.
Site clearance work has been 100% handed over by localities. At the starting point of the project, adjacent to Hoang Phat Residential Area (Bac Lieu ward), the contractor is mobilizing machinery, equipment and labor to accelerate progress.
At sections through Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh wards, the construction unit is excavating soil, building embankments, and pumping sand for the roadbed. The area near Rach Thang bridge is also mobilized with excavators, bulldozers, rollers, materials and melaleuca piles to deploy items.
The Belt Road project outside Bac Lieu city phase 1 has a total investment of more than 1,440 billion VND, implemented from 2021 - 2027. The route is about 9.54km long, passing through 3 wards Bac Lieu, Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh; the starting point connects Nguyen Van Cu street at Hoang Phat residential area and the ending point intersects Cao Van Lau street.
The project to build 2 new bridges including the Bac Lieu - Ca Mau canal overpass and Ong Bon bridge, contributes to completing the regional transport network.
Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee requests the investor and construction units to focus manpower and vehicles, organize construction immediately when there is clean ground; proactively monitor material price fluctuations, propose appropriate solutions, ensure progress and quality of the project.
Along with the Ring Road project in Bac Lieu City phase 1, the ring roads are expected to contribute to reducing traffic pressure in the central area, expanding urban development space and promoting local socio-economic development.
