Acceleration on airport and expressway projects
Mr. Nguyen Le Tu - Director of Ca Mau Airport Project Management - said that during the recent holiday, the entire construction site still maintained more than 400 workers, engineers and 200 equipment and machinery. The units organized construction in the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 crews" to speed up progress.
To date, Package No. 20 for passenger terminal construction has reached 85% of the volume; Package No. 12 for runway, taxiway, and aircraft parking lot construction has reached 65%.
The Project Management Board proposed that the Provincial People's Committee support accelerating the handling of aviation infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State to complete land allocation and land lease procedures. At the same time, it requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Sub-Department of Land Management to guide the handling of the difference in leased land area.
For the Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc expressway project, 42km long, Truong Son Construction Corporation/Brigade 12 undertakes 36km, Corporation 319 undertakes 6km. The total value of the bidding package is 23,764 billion VND.
To date, the realized value of Truong Son Construction Corporation/Corps 12 has reached 2,848/21,290 billion VND, equivalent to 13.38% of the contract value.
Site clearance work in Ho Thi Ky, Khanh An, Khanh Binh, Luong The Tran and Hung My communes is basically completed. However, 12 locations are still being resolved for handover to the construction unit.
The contractor proposed that the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and localities continue to support the handling of remaining problems; and at the same time requested the electricity sector to soon relocate medium and low voltage power lines.
Meanwhile, the Cai Nuoc - Dat Mui expressway project, the section from Km42 to Km81+840, passes through Phu My, Nguyen Viet Khai, Dat Moi and Dat Mui communes. The project is invested by Project Management Board 166 (Ministry of National Defense), constructed by Corps 12, with a total construction value of 24,196 billion VND.
To date, the project has completed 100% of the plan to clear bombs and mines, explosives on an area of nearly 40km; site clearance for the main and connecting routes of 451ha, reaching 100%.
At the construction site, 9 construction teams are being organized with 630 officers and soldiers, performing many items such as creating ground, constructing temporary bridges, service roads, digging inappropriate soil, casting SPT beams, drilling D1500 bored piles, spreading gravel, and filling bridge piers with sand.
Having land, speeding up progress
The Ninh Quoi - Ngan Dua road upgrade and expansion project (DT978) is about 10.9km long, with a total investment of more than 271 billion VND, and has now completed more than 92% of the volume.
On September 5, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Duc - Chairman of Hong Dan Commune People's Committee - said that 100% of households affected by the project have handed over clean ground. The last households in the 6000 bridge area have received compensation money, creating conditions for contractors to bring machinery into construction.
The entire route has 8 bridges, of which 7 bridges have been completed. Bridge 6000 is the last item being completed, with the work of leveling both sides of the access road, constructing auxiliary items and the bridge deck.
The project was adjusted by the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee from the 2019-2025 period to 2019-2026. After completely removing site obstacles, contractors are focusing manpower and equipment, determined to complete it in 2026.
For the two Belt Roads in and Out of Bac Lieu city area, Ca Mau province, the total investment capital is more than 1,700 billion VND, starting construction on December 19, 2025. To date, the Outer Ring Road has cleared more than 90% of the site, while the Inner Ring Road still has problems.
Contractors have excavated 6.54km of roadbed, leveled 5.14km of sand and deployed some bridge items. At the starting point of the outer Ring Road phase 1, adjacent to Hoang Phat residential area, contractors are mobilizing machinery, equipment, and labor to accelerate progress.
Some sections passing through Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh wards have been handed over land, and construction is underway to dig soil, build embankments, and pump sand for the roadbed. The area near Rach Thang bridge, Vinh Trach ward, is also being concentrated with machinery and materials to implement items.
