On September 3, the Ca Mau Provincial Land Fund Development Center said that it had issued a notice to lease 29 houses and land managed and exploited by this unit in Bac Lieu ward. These are public assets not used for residential purposes, put into exploitation according to regulations after the process of arranging and streamlining the organizational structure and administrative units.

Out of a total of 29 land and housing facilities, 4 facilities are leased according to the listed price method and 25 facilities are leased according to the competitive bidding method. The lease term for facilities is 5 years.
The lease list shows that most of them are facilities that were used as headquarters or workplaces of agencies and organizations in Bac Lieu in the past. Most of these land and house facilities are seriously degraded, in many places windows and glass doors have been removed, and trees and vines grow lushly.

Among these is the facility of houses and land of the Bac Lieu Provincial Journalists Association (old) at No. 25 Le Van Duyet street, land area 200m2, leased house area 191m2, listed price 865,318 VND/m2/year.
The house and land facility at 125 Hai Ba Trung street has a land area of 859.5m2, a rented house area of 1,253.73m2, and a listed price of 627,153 VND/m2/year.

Notably, the housing and land facility of the Bac Lieu Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center (old) on 23/8 street has a land area of up to 9,472.4m2, a rental housing area of 2,591m2, and a listed price of 776,091 VND/m2/year.
Another facility with a large land area is the housing and land facility of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (old Social Insurance) at No. 72 Tran Huynh Street, with 2,878.25m2 of land and 1,148m2 of leased housing area. The listed price is determined at 1,253,561 VND/m2/year.

The facility that used to be the headquarters of Bac Lieu City People's Committee (old) at No. 12 Tran Phu street has a land area of 2,209.5m2, a rental housing area of 1,983m2. The listed price is 1,958,188 VND/m2/year, the highest in the list of 29 facilities announced.

With the competitive bidding method, people who need to rent must register and propose a price. In case there are many valid registrations, the person proposing the highest price is identified as the person with the right to rent. If there are many people who jointly offer the highest price, the Land Fund Development Center organizes a draw to determine the tenant.

To participate, organizations and individuals must submit a house rental registration form and a deposit equal to 5% of the rent for the entire lease term.
According to the Ca Mau Provincial Land Fund Development Center, tenants can proactively renovate and repair houses during the lease period with their own funds but must not affect the basic structure of the project. Tenants are also not allowed to build solid works and must commit to dismantling, cleaning, and returning the ground to its current state when the contract is terminated.

Notably, tenants are not compensated for land, assets and investment costs in land when returning the premises.
