The Project of Bridge across the Ma River in Pe Tien village (Phieng Pe Bridge), Chieng So commune, Son La province was approved according to Decision No. 373/QD-UBND dated January 31, 2026 of Son La Provincial People's Committee.
The above project belongs to Group C, with a total investment of nearly 56 billion VND, invested by the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport Works (of Son La province).
According to the reporter's investigation, the Investor has recently approved the contractor selection results for package 07: Construction and installation of the project.
Package No. 07 was widely bid through the network, with a value of more than 45.1 billion VND from the central budget and provincial budget.
According to the approval decision, Sy Ha Tay Bac Co., Ltd. is the enterprise that won the above bidding package with a price of nearly 44.7 billion VND.
Thus, Sy Ha Tay Bac Co., Ltd. will be the contractor for construction and installation of the project, the implementation time of the package is 240 days.
According to the technical requirements in the bidding documents, the contractor will construct road traffic works, level IV roads, level III bridges, the construction site is Chieng So commune, Son La province.
The route of the project has the starting point connecting to National Highway 12 at about Km312+620 in Bon Tien village, Chieng So commune; the intermediate point for building the Song Ma overpass; the ending point connecting to provincial road 113 at about Km58+230 in Pe Tien village, Chieng So commune. The total length of the route is 0.62km.
For the bridge item, the contractor will first dismantle the old damaged suspension bridge, then build a new permanent reinforced concrete bridge, with a span length of 4x33m, a bridge width of 8m, of which the carriage part is 7m, and the bridge railing is 0.5m on each side.
For the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, with a roadbed width of 6.5m, a road surface width of 3.5m, and a sidewalk width of 1.5m on each side; the works on the route and the traffic safety system are built synchronously with the scale of the road.
The investment objective of the project is to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, meet the travel needs of people as well as transport goods and agricultural products, and create favorable conditions to promote socio-economic development in the area.
Previously, in early August 2025, due to the impact of rain and floods, the water level of the Ma River rose, Phieng Pe suspension bridge in Chieng So commune was swept away by floodwaters, causing traffic disruption and seriously affecting the lives of local people.
