On April 14, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy - Chief of Office of Hue University - said that regarding the case of "3rd grade Informatics homework" containing unsafe links, Education Solutions Vietnam Co., Ltd. (ESVN) has issued a notice on the direction of handling the incident and remedial plans.
According to ESVN, during the process of compiling the publication (published in 2022), the unit and Hue University Publishing House included a reference link for learning. However, due to shortcomings in the management of domain name and address validity, this address was acquired by a foreign organization and posted inappropriate content beyond control.
ESVN admitted that the incident had a negative impact on the educational environment, affecting the psychology of students, parents and users, and apologized.
To overcome this, from April 9 to April 19, 2026, the company will deploy the recall and exchange of books nationwide. Distributors are required to stop publishing and coordinate the recall of all books sold to the market.
For schools, ESVN requests to notify parents and students and support inventory to organize book exchanges directly at the school. Parents can also contact the company directly to receive book exchange support.
The company commits to innovating 1-1 for users, with a reviewed version, removing all harmful links, ensuring safety without affecting learning content.
At the same time, Hue University Publishing House and ESVN reported the incident to the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05) - Ministry of Public Security and relevant police agencies, and at the same time coordinated to request Internet service providers to block and filter malicious domain names nationwide.
ESVN said that it will comprehensively review the compiling process, strictly control electronic learning materials to prevent risks and avoid recurrence of similar incidents.
