Date 10.8, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Deputy Director of Technical Department, Project Management Board of Central Power Transmission Projects - stated that the unit is currently completing the final stages of the power transmission towers in Quang Binh province.
“At the Quang Binh border, there are 13 completed power transmission towers located in Quang Trach district, we have completed the final stages, which are pulling the wires. We expect to complete it before 15.8” - Mr. Trung said.
Mr. Trung added that in Quang Binh province, although the distance is not too long, there are some difficulties. The project's progress requires speed, but in the central region, there are many weather, terrain, and labor difficulties.
Deputy Director of Technical Department, Project Management Board of Central Power Transmission Projects shared that the central region's weather is hot and unpredictable. The terrain in Quang Binh has many hills, making it difficult to transport large equipment. From there, the unit must pull wires, set up towers, and arrange personnel and time accordingly.
The unit has mobilized machinery to the construction site to reduce labor, arranged working hours for the construction team to ensure the project's progress. Moreover, labor safety is also a top priority for the project management, which is constantly monitored and inspected to ensure the workers' safety and the project's quality.
Regarding the 500kV Quang Trach - Pho Nui Project, power transmission units in Quang Binh have also mobilized many officials, engineers, and workers to "support" neighboring provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.
Specifically, 40 members of two teams of the Quang Binh Power Company have participated in supporting the construction of towers at locations 381 and 382 in the mountainous area of Dien Loy commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province.
At the Quang Binh power transmission system, the unit has sent 26 officials, engineers, and commanders to work from May 15 to the present, constructing two power transmission towers, numbers 133 and 166, of the Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa project component, and then supporting the construction of pulling wires from towers 171-173.
The 500kV Quang Trach - Pho Nui Project has a total length of approximately 519km, passing through 211 communes, wards, and towns of 43 districts and towns in 9 provinces, including Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, and Hung Yen.
This is one of the country's key projects to improve the ability to transmit electricity from the central region to the northern region, meeting the increasing demand for electricity, especially during peak periods in the hot summer of 2024.
