On June 12, at the construction site of the rest stop at Km 205 (Ham Thuan Bac district), the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway was recorded as an urgent atmosphere for workers and machinery. Both rest stops on both sides at this location are under construction simultaneously. Meanwhile, the temporary rest stop is still operating normally and is bustling with vehicles entering and leaving.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway Management Board said that the two rest stops at Km 205 are being urgently constructed by the contractor for the service house, gas station and above structure items. This rest stop is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
The Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Transport) continuously follows the construction site closely, urging the contractor to stop at Km 205. The progress of the package has reached 46%. The contractor has completed the leveling of the parking lot's reinforcement items.
For the Km 144+560 rest stop in Phong Phu commune, Tuy Phong district, the handover site has only been handed over 1.67/10.89ha. Currently, the investor has not yet met the conditions for a clean site to start construction.
On the first day of June, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with Tuy Phong district to focus on resolving difficulties and problems, clearing the site for the Km 144+560 rest stop project on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway. The time frame for completing the handover of the site to the investor is given no later than June 15.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8km long through Binh Thuan province, with 2 rest stops planned. The area of each station is 10 hectares, including the left and right sides of the route. From August 20, 2024, the investor of the rest stop at Km 205 has started construction after receiving the site handover.
