At around 9am on December 6, people saw a column of smoke rising and quickly engulfing the H.P Auto Garage on 3.2 Street, Rach Gia City (Kien Giang). Upon receiving the news, the fire prevention and fighting force quickly arrived at the scene and promptly controlled the fire.
According to initial information, at that time, a fire suddenly broke out in the garage's car paint shop area, the fire quickly broke out and spread. Although the garage staff quickly put out the fire, it was ineffective.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Kien Giang Province quickly dispatched 3 fire trucks, 1 water tanker, and 2 fire hydrants to control the fire. Dozens of officers and soldiers from various forces were also mobilized to the scene to put out the fire.
By 10:10 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but some property and vehicles were burned down.
Authorities are still clarifying the cause of the incident and calculating property damage after the fire.
