In Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province, the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is 39.55km long, including 82 pole foundation locations with a reclaimed area of 10.97ha; the route passes through 10 communes, with 25 households having to be resettled.
Mr. Hoang Manh Ha - Chairman of Luc Yen District People's Committee - said that the locality has handed over 82 locations to the construction contractor. By June 9, the compensation plan for communes where the project runs through will be completed and submitted for appraisal.

According to Vice Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Ngo Hanh Phuc, to ensure the construction progress according to the direction of the Prime Minister, the implementation of procedures and processes in site clearance is being carried out by the locality in parallel, both completing and completing documents.
In addition, the line passing through Yen Bai province is the longest, with a large workload. Meanwhile, currently, some pole foundation locations in Luc Yen district are facing difficulties in construction due to terrain, geology and weather.

The construction site is narrow, the terrain is steep, forcing the contractor to organize construction in separate holes, while arranging a material warehouse near the foundation to reduce transportation time.
In Lieu Do commune, VT160 has constructed a foundation pit, the remaining three holes are being prepared to pour concrete; VT161 is facing many difficulties due to prolonged heavy rain causing muddy temporary roads, motor vehicles cannot move even though they have wrapped chains and lining the beams to the temporary road; VT159 due to steep terrain, large amount of leveled soil but motor vehicles cannot access it.

In Vinh Lac commune, VT166 is located on terrain with interspersed rocks on the lower floor and rocky mountains above, posing a high risk of landslides. This is one of the locations with particularly difficult construction conditions, requiring safe and effective foundation treatment and anti-landslide solutions.
With VT167 - a 72m high, 180-ton steel pole, the construction unit has arranged two teams to work in parallel to shorten the progress.

It is expected that the pole erection will be completed within the next week, and workers will be arranged to take a day off at the construction site to ensure continuous construction.
On June 6, after inspecting and evaluating locations through Luc Yen district, Chairman of EVN Board of Directors Dang Hoang An requested the Dien 1 Project Management Board and contractors and supervision consultants to arrange additional human resources.

For locations where temporary roads are under construction with steep slopes, subsided and uneven soil due to rain, Mr. Dang Hoang An requested to take measures to reinforce temporary roads and increase the spread of stones so that mechanical vehicles can access the construction site.
Due to the interstitial geology of soil and rocks, the mountains above are rocky and mountainous, causing many obstacles in the construction process, so the design consultant and the contractor are calculating solutions to ensure safe construction.

The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is about 228.92km long, with a total investment of about VND 7,411 billion. Of which, the project section passing through Yen Bai province is 90.2 km long with 173 pillar foundations.
