Family receives new information about 13-year-old boy missing in Hanoi

Hanoi The family has received new information about Nguyen Kieu Trang (13 years old), a girl in Tay Ho ward who left home and lost contact.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong (born in 1983, residing in Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi) called on the community to support the search for her daughter, Nguyen Kieu Trang, who went missing after leaving home on the evening of July 23.

On July 26, speaking to reporters, Ms. Duong said that her family had found the motorbike taxi driver who drove Trang from Ho Chi Minh City to Long An province (old) and was currently holding his phone number. "My family has proactively called, connected via social networks, and sent Trang's photos for verification. The driver confirmed that it was definitely my child, said Ms. Duong.

Immediately after receiving this important information, Ms. Duong reported to the police and functional forces to coordinate and support the search for the child's whereabouts. However, Trang has not been found yet. The area where the motorbike taxi driver took the child was identified as Long An province (now merged into Tay Ninh province).

According to Ms. Duong, on the morning of July 25, a woman working at Nga Tu Ga Bus Station (National Highway 1A, Ho Chi Minh City) provided important information: At around 7am, a girl spoke in a Northern tone, claiming to have just come from Hanoi, stopped to ask to go to the toilet.

At first, the woman did not pay attention. However, when she heard the child say she wanted to take a bus to Long An, she paid attention. Because he was traveling alone and had no guardian, the bus companies at the station all refused to sell tickets. The child also refused to take the bus but decided to rent a motorbike taxi, saying that "there are family members picking him up in Long An".

Through investigation, Ms. Duong said that Trang's journey could start from Hanoi, then take a bus from bus company Tr.A to Ky Anh (Ha Tinh). Here, the child was transferred to another vehicle driven by a driver named Tong, continuing to move to Ho Chi Minh City.

The image from the bus company's dashcam at Nga Tu Ga Bus Station is quite blurred, unable to clearly identify the face, but Mr. Tong affirmed that the person in the main photo is Nguyen Kieu Trang. Even because he saw that he had no money, the bus company gave him 100,000 VND to catch a motorbike taxi.

Notably, the motorbike taxi driver - the last person identified to transport the baby - said that when he arrived at the meeting place, a man and a woman were waiting to pick him up.

Nguyen Kieu Trang left home at around 8:15 p.m. on July 23 at Lane 245 Lac Long Quan (Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi) and has not been able to contact her family since then.

Currently, the authorities are urgently investigating and searching for the child. The family hopes that the community will continue to support and share information to soon bring the child back safely.
