According to the Decision, the validity period of the 2021-2025 term Press Card is extended until the end of June 30, 2026.
The decision was issued based on the Law on Sponsorship in 2016; based on Decree No. 43/2025/ND-CP dated February 28, 2025 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; based on Circular No. 31/2021/TT-BTTTT dated December 31, 2021 of the Ministry of Information and Communications detailing and guiding dossiers and procedures for issuing, renewing, re-issuing and revoking sponsorship cards; at the request of the Director of the Press Department.
This decision replaces Decision No. 4794/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 19, 2025 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The extension of the validity of the press card does not apply to those who have been granted the card at scientific journals of higher education institutions, scientific research organizations, scientific research and technology development organizations organized in the form of academies, institutes and hospitals.
Chief of the Ministry Office, Directors of Departments: Press; Radio, Television and Electronic Information, Directors of Departments: Culture, Sports and Tourism; Culture and Sports of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, heads of managing agencies, heads of press agencies and those who are granted press cards for the 2021-2025 term are responsible for implementing this Decision.
