On March 26, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police announced a traffic diversion plan to serve the general rehearsal and the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026.
Accordingly, many roads around Nguyen Tat Thanh Square and surrounding areas will temporarily ban vehicles from circulating during the event.
The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026 will officially take place from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM on March 28th at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon ward). The general rehearsal will take place 1 day earlier, starting from 6:30 PM on March 27th.
In order to ensure traffic safety and security and order during the event, the Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police organized traffic diversion and guidance at some points and central roads.
Temporarily prohibit all vehicles (except vehicles of delegates and organizers' vehicles) from circulating on some roads around Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, including Xuan Dieu street (section from Phan Dang Luu intersection to Ngo May roundabout), Nguyen Hue street (section from Phan Dang Luu - Pham Ngoc Thach intersection to Do Doc Bao - Nguyen Thiep intersection) and Do Doc Bao street.
Temporarily suspend Nguyen Tat Thanh street (section from Tran Thi Ky intersection to Ngo May six-way intersection), Dien Hong street (section from Dien Hong - Le Duan - Le Lai intersection to Ngo May six-way intersection), An Duong Vuong street (section from the intersection with Nguyen Trung Tin street to Ngo May six-way intersection) and Ngo May street (section from the intersection with Nguyen Thi Dinh street to Ngo May six-way intersection).
For trucks and passenger cars (except for vehicles of delegates and vehicles of the Organizing Committee), it is temporarily forbidden to move into the Quy Nhon central area through Nguyen Thai Hoc, Tay Son, An Duong Vuong, Dong Da, Hung Vuong, Tran Hung Dao and Hoang Van Thu streets.
Motorbikes can still move on some roads near Nguyen Tat Thanh Square. People are allowed to park at parking spots arranged around the area such as Binh Duong Hotel, sidewalks along Nguyen Thi Dinh street and An Duong Vuong street.
The Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police requests people to absolutely not leave their vehicles on the road, on the sidewalk in the square area, causing congestion, traffic disorder and safety, and at the same time potential risk of theft due to lack of guards.
The temporary traffic diversion time is applied from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM on March 27 and 28.
