On November 28, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province said that it will prioritize the immediate construction of resettlement areas to relocate more than 3,000 households from dangerous areas due to natural disasters and floods.
Currently, the provincial government is making efforts to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, ensure safety of life and stable long-term accommodation for people in high-risk areas.
According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in the context of urgent time and a huge workload, especially to promptly arrange safe accommodation for people before Tet according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has proposed that the Ministry of National Defense consider and direct the assignment of Military Region 5 to preside over and coordinate with other military units to support the province in building urgent works.
The recent floods caused serious landslides in many areas, and the authorities have conducted field surveys to identify locations at high risk. Many households were forced to evacuate urgently to ensure safety.

The current important task of Gia Lai does not stop at providing food support or repairing infrastructure, but must speed up construction and resettlement for households that have lost their homes; help people soon stabilize their lives, restore production and live with peace of mind for a long time.
In the first and middle days of November 2025, Gia Lai province was continuously affected by storm No. 13 (KALMAEGI) as the strongest storm ever to directly hit the province, accompanied by very heavy rains and especially heavy floods immediately afterwards.
The continuous natural disasters caused flash floods, landslides, and widespread flooding, causing heavy damage to the property of the State and the People in the area.
