On the morning of March 31, Gia Lai province held a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Ba Mountain Victory Monument (Cat Tien commune) to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the liberation of the old Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2026), now Gia Lai province.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates offered flowers in front of the Ba Mountain Victory Monument and lit incense sticks, expressing deep gratitude for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang expressed his deep gratitude to heroic martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, veteran revolutionaries, cadres, soldiers and compatriots who bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Promoting the heroic tradition of previous generations, the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Gia Lai province are determined to unite as one, joining hands to build a homeland that is increasingly developing rapidly and sustainably.
Mr. Lam Hai Giang emphasized that the spiritual strength from the Ba Mountain base will forever be a great driving force, a traditional flame reminding today's and future generations to continue to firmly step on the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and Uncle Ho; determined to make Gia Lai one of the leading developed localities in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions, together with the whole country entering the era of national rise.

Throughout 21 years of resistance war against the US for national salvation, Ba Mountain held a particularly important strategic position. This place was once the operating base of the Provincial Party Committee, agencies and units of the province's armed forces, Quy Nhon Town Party Committee and An Nhon, Tuy Phuoc, Phu Cat District Party Committees.
From this base, the Provincial Party Committee led and directed the resistance movement, opened many training classes, trained armed forces and grassroots revolutionary cadres. This was also a springboard to launch many waves of attacks and uprisings in the Dong Khoi Campaign in the Eastern Region in 1964 and the Mau Than Spring Campaign in 1968.

In the spring of 1975, when the opportunity for liberation came, Ba Mountain continued to witness the heroic moments of the province's history. In the Son Rai area, all armed forces, cadres and people held an oath-taking ceremony with the slogan: "Enthusiasm like Mau Than - Launching like Nguyen Hue - Destroying thoroughly like Dien Bien".
From that boiling spirit, the army and people in the province advanced to liberate Quy Nhon town on March 31, 1975, ending the victorious resistance war against the US for national salvation in Binh Dinh province.
Today, the historical relic of Ba Mountain Victory is a "red address", a sacred testament to a period of resilient revolution, and also a valuable spiritual resource to educate revolutionary traditions and foster homeland pride for future generations.
