On August 10, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province said that in the coming time, the province will invest in infrastructure and upgrade the road from National Highway 19 to Kon Ka Kinh National Park.
At the same time, the province will consider building a museum to display models of animals and plants; open tours and routes suitable for resort and entertainment needs associated with environmental protection.
The province will also connect scientists and attract investors to develop eco-tourism in Kon Ka Kinh.
Kon Ka Kinh National Park is located in the Northeast of Gia Lai province, in the area of 4 communes: Krong, Dak Rong, Dak Somei and Ayun, with an area of nearly 42,000 hectares, of which more than 39,300 hectares are natural forests.

There are more than 1,750 species of plants and nearly 880 species of animals here, including 16 rare endemic species such as the Centralorder finches, gray-legged langurs, tigers, Truong Son frog, Kon Ka Kinh shrimp, barley chickens...
Kon Ka Kinh is one of the two core areas of Kon Ha Nung Plateau Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve.
In the first 7 months of 2025, the park has received 31 wild animals, released 27 individuals back to the wild, rescued 4 individuals and raised 20 starlings, monkeys, and pig-tailed monkeys.
Because it is only a pilot tourism exploitation, the number of visitors is still modest (342 visits). Currently, Kon Ka Kinh National Park Management Board is selecting a contractor to implement the "Project for developing eco-tourism, resorts, and entertainment until 2030, with a vision to 2045".
