On April 24, at the 2nd session, the 13th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031, voted to approve 52 important resolutions. Among them, there are many policies to support preschool children, students, and preschool teachers.
Caring for workers' children, retaining teachers
Gia Lai Provincial People's Council has approved the Resolution Regulating the level of support for preschool children and teachers at private preschool education institutions in areas with industrial parks.
Accordingly, preschool children who are children of workers and laborers working in industrial parks, with legal labor contracts, are supported with 300,000 VND/child/month.

Preschool teachers at private preschool facilities in areas with industrial parks, meeting training standards, having labor contracts and directly teaching in classes with at least 30% children of workers, are supported 800,000 VND/person/month.
The support period is calculated based on the actual number of school months, up to 9 months/school year, applied from the 2026-2027 school year.
The total estimated cost of implementing this policy is more than 3.5 billion VND/year, of which more than 3 billion VND is for supporting children and more than 400 million VND for teachers.
Helping island commune students overcome difficulties to go to school
Gia Lai Provincial People's Council also approved the Resolution Regulating policies to support students in Nhon Chau commune who are studying at high schools and vocational education institutions in the province.
Nhon Chau (Cù Lao Xanh) is about 24km from Quy Nhon mainland, is an island commune with an important position in terms of national defense - security and marine economic development. However, the locality does not have a high school and vocational education institution; students after 9th grade have to go to the mainland to study, facing many difficulties in terms of expenses and living.
The policy aims to create conditions for students to continue studying, limit dropouts, and narrow the educational gap between island and mainland areas.

For high school students, the support level includes 930,000 VND for meals, 360,000 VND for accommodation, 150,000 VND for tuition fees and 200,000 VND/student/month for travel expenses. The support time is based on actual learning, up to 9 months/school year.
For students studying at vocational education institutions, they are supported 100% of tuition fees according to the collection level of public institutions; enjoy policy scholarships equal to 80% of the basic salary/month and travel support of 200,000 VND/person/month.
The support period is based on the actual training time, up to 30 months for college level and 20 months for intermediate level. Each student is only entitled to one benefit.
The policy is implemented from the 2026-2027 school year, with a total estimated budget of more than 1.4 billion VND/school year, not applicable to dropout cases. Of which, support for high school students is about 948 million VND; vocational education students and students is about 484 million VND.
