Attending the launching ceremony of Workers' Month were Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung, leaders of Gia Lai province.
Workers' Month 2026 with the theme "Gia Lai Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity" continues to affirm its role as a peak period of care, companionship and promotion of the creativity of workers.
In recent years, Workers' Month has become a festival for workers, with many practical activities, receiving the attention of Party committees, authorities, businesses and the widespread response of union members and workers (ĐV, NLĐ).
Workers' Month 2026 takes place at a special time when many important political events of the country are successfully held, consolidating confidence in the leadership of the Party and the people's right to mastery. In that context, Trade Union levels promote emulation movements and achievements to celebrate the Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
Implementing the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, Workers' Month 2026 is organized with a new mindset: Confidence, bravery and determination to innovate and create, bringing the labor productivity of workers and laborers in the province to break through.
In the Workers' Month 2026, the Provincial Trade Union will implement many practical activities such as: the "May Dialogue" program and the Forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Union in the new era"; the "Thank you workers" program and care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; the Peak Month to promote the innovation movement, improve labor productivity; the Peak Month to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions (CĐCS); introduce and develop party members and workers.
At the same time, strive for 100% of commune and ward trade unions to organize at least 1 response activity; have 60% or more of grassroots trade unions in the business sector; 100% of grassroots trade unions in the non-business sector and state-owned enterprises have at least 1 activity; establish 49 new grassroots trade unions, develop 3,000 new members; 42 new grassroots trade unions sign collective labor agreements; introduce 260 outstanding members to the Party for consideration and admission.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Labor Federation commended 50 typical union members and workers in production labor; 20 typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; 20 typical grassroots trade union presidents in dialogue and collective bargaining work.
At the same time, 50 gifts (each worth 700,000 VND) were presented to 50 workers in difficult circumstances and with dangerous diseases.
Speaking to launch Workers' Month 2026, Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that labor is glory, is the source of life and is also the beginning of creativity, is a sacred duty for each person to continue writing the glorious pages of the nation's history.
The working class and laborers are the forces that directly shape the country, are the owners of works and products, contributing to enriching the homeland and country.
With the highest determination and the most drastic action spirit, Workers' Month 2026 will not only stop in May but will spread strongly and throughout all activities of the provincial Trade Union levels.
With faith in the new opportunities of the country, the consensus of the Trade Union organization and the will to rise up of more than 75,000 union members in the province, I believe that Gia Lai workers will promote their bravery, creative intelligence, self-reliance and self-strengthening spirit, successfully complete their tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress," Mr. Ha Duy Trung expressed.
At the launching ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee - acknowledged and praised workers for overcoming difficulties, accompanying businesses to maintain production, stabilize jobs, and make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu requested all levels, sectors, localities, businesses and trade union organizations to improve the quality of propaganda and mobilization of union members and workers to respond to Workers' Month; Labor Safety and Hygiene Month 2026 with practical actions.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung and leaders of Gia Lai province and the Provincial Labor Federation visited the Trade Union Facilities Area in Gia Lai, the model house; visited and presented gifts to Ms. Phan Thi Hong Dieu - a worker at Able Vietnam Garment Co., Ltd.
