On April 24, the 13th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031, opened the 2nd session (specialized session) to consider and approve important resolutions, promptly handle unexpected and arising issues of the locality.
The session focused on considering, discussing and resolving 52 contents in many key areas, associated with perfecting institutions, allocating resources and promoting socio-economic development.
Speaking at the opening, Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council - said that the meeting takes place in the context that the province is implementing key tasks of the first year of the term; urgently concretizing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress. At the same time, continue to improve institutions, remove bottlenecks, unlock resources, and create a foundation for rapid and sustainable growth.
This is also the time when the 2-level local government model continues to be improved in terms of operating mechanism, decentralization, delegation of power, and synchronization of the policy system after arranging administrative units.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council will consider and approve resolutions to abolish a number of legal normative documents of the old Binh Dinh and old Gia Lai Provincial People's Councils in the fields of agriculture, environment, industry and trade, information technology, education, health...
Many important contents related to public investment, resource management, forestry development, land, housing and mechanisms and policies serving development requirements were also brought up for consideration and decision.
The session will issue legal normative resolutions to concretize the Central Government's policy, continue to improve the local legal framework in the fields of science and technology, digital transformation, environment, education, labor, social security, internal affairs, justice...
Mr. Rah Lan Chung emphasized that these are all urgent and important issues that need to be discussed and resolved by the Provincial People's Council to ensure a legal basis, serving the timely direction and administration of socio-economic development tasks.
