On March 1, the People's Council of Gia Lai province, term XII (term 2021-2026), opened its 25th session (special session) to promptly resolve urgent, arising, and important tasks of the province.
Speaking at the opening of the session, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - said that the session will consider and decide on very important contents.
Accordingly, reorganize agencies under the Provincial People's Council; establish and reorganize specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; temporarily assign staff to cadres, civil servants and public employees in 2025.
At the same time, there is a policy to provide additional support for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in implementing the reorganization of the apparatus of the political system in the province.
"The contents considered and decided by the Provincial People's Council at the meeting have been prepared seriously, closely, and in accordance with the law by the Provincial People's Council Committees and have been reviewed by the Provincial People's Council Committees according to regulations," affirmed Provincial Party Secretary Ho Van Nien.
The meeting decided to adjust the growth rate of gross Gross Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2025; approve the List of land plots to be bid for investment projects using land; List of project works that must reclaim land and change land use purposes in 2025.
At the meeting, delegates approved the Resolution to establish the Cultural - Social Committee on the basis of merging the Cultural - Social Committee and the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council. Ms. Dinh Ly An was elected to hold the position of Head of the Committee.
The approval of the Resolution aims to streamline the apparatus, ensure effective and efficient operations, and at the same time implement the policies of the Central and the province on streamlining the apparatus and reducing affiliated units.
Thus, after the merger, the Provincial People's Council will have 3 Committees, reducing 1 Committee compared to the beginning of the 2021-2026 term.
