On August 4, Mr. Nguyen Huu Que - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - requested investors of works and projects to strictly install cameras to monitor the construction process.
The installation of cameras aims to strictly manage materials and input materials, ensuring the quality of the project, avoiding the situation of poor quality works that do not meet requirements.
The goal is to have 100% of works installed with surveillance cameras, except for security - defense works or those built in remote areas without internet connection.
Mr. Que also directed competent agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision of project management and construction quality, especially projects invested by commune-level People's Committees.
The Department of Construction will issue criteria to evaluate the quality of works that contractors have carried out in the past 2-3 years, as a basis for selecting contractors to participate in the following projects.
Units such as the People's Council, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation are also recommended to participate in inspecting and supervising the implementation of works, especially large-scale, key projects in the province.
Recently, at a meeting with the Chairman of the People's Committees of 7 border communes in the West of Gia Lai province, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - affirmed: the construction of boarding and semi-boarding schools must select capable contractors to ensure quality.
Gia Lai province plans to invest nearly 380 billion VND to build schools for thousands of students in border communes.
For works in tourist areas, the Provincial People's Committee requires landscape architecture design to be in accordance with planning, in harmony with nature, and at the same time associated with preserving traditional culture.
