In early September 2025, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has completed the investment in a mid-term rest area for workers. The entire project is invested with about 2.2 billion VND. When workers are off work in the middle of their shift, they can go to this area to drink water and rest.
Opening a bookcase for newspapers and entertainment areas for workers
Meanwhile, in the field of wood furniture production, in recent years, businesses have also paid more attention to the lives of workers. The quality of shift meals is constantly improving.
In Tan Hiep ward, Cua It Aiao Technology Co., Ltd., found that the dining area had been built for a long time. Therefore, in early September 2025, the company's Trade Union has proposed to the company's board of directors to renovate and upgrade the dining room for workers.
Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cua It Asia Technology Co., Ltd. - said that the total investment for the dining room upgrade project is about 645 million VND.
After upgrading the cafeteria, the Trade Union continued to recommend the company to agree to invest about 800 million VND and arrange space to implement a rest and entertainment area for workers. The unit has used a part of the space next to the dining area to build this project. Union officials and union members in the company have worked together. The unit also built bookcases, bought tables and chairs and ordered newspapers, especially many books about history, culture, and revolution that were displayed in the bookcase.
In addition, the unit has ordered additional ice tables, golden tablets, and bid tables. The unit also renovated the surrounding space, arranging tables and chairs for workers. In the afternoon, workers will have 1 hour off to eat lunch and in the afternoon, workers will have 1 hour off before overtime. In this free time, workers can sit and drink water to rest, read books or participate in entertainment games.
Improving the quality of meals for workers
Asia Italian doors Technology Co., Ltd. has over 1,000 workers. Recently, the Trade Union has also recommended that the company increase the quality of shift meals for workers. Currently, the value of workers' shift meals is worth VND28,000/meal. The Trade Union also recommends that the company organize "Intimate Meals" every month to increase the portion sizes. This activity aims to care for workers, so that workers have more nutrients, ensuring health to participate in production.
