At noon on October 29, Mr. Pham Xuan Sinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Phu Commune (Quang Ngai Province) said that 8 people were trapped in the middle of Tra Khuc River when the flood water was rising and were successfully rescued by the authorities at 12:30 am today.
According to Mr. Sinh, the Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Rescue (PCTT&CNCH) force of Quang Ngai Provincial Police promptly brought 8 people trapped in the middle of Tra Khuc River to shore safely.
Along the Tra Khuc River, there are many large and small mounds of land that people use as a place for farming, building shelters and raising livestock.When floods came, these areas were quickly isolated.
Although the local government has repeatedly warned, many households are still subjective and stay to keep their assets.
After receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Quang Ngai Province Police coordinated with local authorities to deploy canoes, approach the scene, mobilize people and bring them to shore.
