Heavy rain, water flows out of alleys like waterfall
In Dong Nai province, the flooded fog is in the Dong Khoi street area, Trang Dai ward, every time there is heavy rain, water flows out of the alleys like waterfall. From alley No. 68, water rushed into Dong Khoi Street, flowing rapidly, causing many difficulties for vehicles passing through.

KP2A residents in Trang Dai ward said that this area is often flooded during heavy rains due to construction works encroaching on the stream. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Luong, a resident of KP2A - a resident of this flooded area - said that currently, every time there is a heavy rain, the water level in the residential area where he lives is 1 m high, up to the adult's belly and the water flows rapidly, causing vehicles to drift and houses to be deeply flooded.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kien, Chairman of Trang Dai Ward People's Committee, said: The stream was previously very large, but due to the road running across the stream being blocked, there was heavy rain, water flowing onto the road. The ward has surveyed the stream from Quarter 2A, Trang Dai Ward to Dong Khoi Street, Binh Minh Restaurant section. The survey shows that the stream was previously 5-7m wide, and had a high abyss, but when it reached Dong Khoi Street, it was compacted.
Need to deploy investment in sewer/ ditch system for alleys
According to the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province, for the flooded area of Dong Khoi bridge, the flood prevention project on Dong Khoi street (from Dong Khoi bridge Km3+75 to Thiet Giap intersection Km4+750 of the old Bien Hoa city (now Trang Dai ward, Dong Nai province) was previously invested by the People's Committee of Bien Hoa city to solve the severe flooding situation for many years in the area from Dong Khoi bridge to Thiet Giap intersection.
However, to completely resolve the situation of massive water when heavy rain fell from alleys (because these alleys do not have a sewer/drainage ditch system) and cause flooding on Dong Khoi Street, it is necessary to deploy investment in a sewer/ ditch system for these alleys.
This issue is being considered by the Department of Finance to arrange funding according to the recommendation of the People's Committee of Trang Dai Ward when conducting a field survey with the Department of Construction. The Department of Construction will continue to monitor and accompany the People's Committee of Trang Dai Ward to completely resolve the flooding situation in the area.

Director of the Department of Construction of Dong Nai province Nguyen Anh Tuan also requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to regularly inspect and rectify, and immediately handle cases of encroachment that narrow the flow as a source of water drainage for the area. Continue to increase dredging and clearing water flows to increase drainage capacity for the drainage system; thoroughly implement waste collection; strictly handle the discharge of garbage to cover water collection gates/holes. This work must be completed before the 2026 rainy season.
For drainage systems passing through 2 or more communes at the commune level, localities must agree on a plan to synchronously implement the entire route to promote the effectiveness of the drainage system.
According to the provincial Department of Construction, flooded areas have been and are being treated, and the flooding situation has been basically resolved, including: Flooded areas along Chua stream, Ba Lua stream and Cau Quan stream; Flooded areas of National Highway 51, the section before Long Binh Tan market to Den bridge and flooded areas of Binh Duong quarter, the old Long Binh Tan ward (now Long Hung ward); Flooded areas of Dong Khoi bridge; Flooded areas of 30/4 park area on the Tan Bien ward side.
The flooded and re-flooded areas being treated by construction works include: Flooded areas on Vo Nguyen Giap Street (through Vuon Xoai tourist area); Flooded areas of San Mau stream branch, Nguyen Phuc Chu street, Trang Dai ward; Flooded areas of Siue stream, National Highway 1K, Hoa An ward; Flooded areas of Thanh Tam Hospital, Hanoi Highway.
