HUE - People discovered rare cù lần in chicken coop, proactively handed them over to the police to release them back into nature.

On March 28, Hue City Police said that they had received an individual of cù lần (slow loris) - a dangerous and rare wild animal handed over by people.

Previously, when visiting the chicken coop, Mr. Pham Xuan Cuong (born 2004, residing in Phu Xuan village, A Luoi 3 commune) discovered a strange animal, with big eyes, moving slowly. Realizing that this was a rare cù lần species, he contacted functional agencies and brought it to A Luoi 3 Commune Police to report and hand it over on the same day.

After receiving it, A Luoi 3 Commune Police prepared a dossier and coordinated with A Luoi Forest Protection Department to complete handover procedures according to regulations. Initial inspection showed that the cù lần individual was in stable health and not injured.

Currently, functional forces are completing procedures to release this individual back to the natural environment.

A Luoi 3 Commune Police praised Mr. Cuong's self-awareness and awareness of wildlife protection; and at the same time advised people when detecting wildlife to immediately report to the nearest authorities or forest rangers for timely handling, avoiding violations of the law.
