Handing over 40 kg sea turtle to release back into nature

Ha Tinh - After catching a sea turtle, a fisherman in Hoanh Son ward handed it over to functional forces to release it into nature.

On the morning of June 22, Hoanh Son Ward Police coordinated with Deo Ngang Border Guard Station to receive a rare sea turtle individual handed over by fisherman Hoang Van Tuyen (born 1972, residing in Dong Yen 4 residential group, Hoanh Son ward).

The turtle was caught in Mr. Tuyen's net during his seafood fishing in the local waters.

Through inspection, functional agencies determined that the sea turtle individual weighed about 40 kg, belonging to endangered, precious, and rare animals that need to be protected.

After completing the procedures according to regulations, Hoanh Son Ward Police in coordination with Deo Ngang Border Guard Station proceeded to release that turtle into the sea.
