The Quang Vinh 1 and Quang Vinh 2 bridge projects across the Cau River in the center of Thai Nguyen province have a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND.
Construction started in early 2025, including the length of Quang Vinh 1 bridge (3.45km), Quang Vinh 2 bridge (2.38km).
PV recorded in mid-February 2026, at the construction site, dozens of workers and machinery are being mobilized to implement the project.
In the Quang Vinh 2 bridge construction area, machinery is deploying drilling and filling, foundation construction. Items at the project are mainly deployed in the riverbank area.
Meanwhile, at the Quang Vinh 1 bridge construction site, the foundation and welding of steel structures have been carried out, and the bridge frame has been completed.
Units are speeding up progress, removing difficulties related to site clearance. In addition to arranging resettlement, the relocation of technical infrastructure is also being implemented synchronously.
According to the plan, the total land area to be recovered to serve 2 projects is more than 17ha, directly affecting 480 households and 6 organizations. The estimated cost of compensation, support and site clearance is over 344.7 billion VND.
To implement the project, it is necessary to arrange resettlement for about 201 households, with a total land fund area of about 2.5ha.
In which, Quan Trieu ward has 131 households, Linh Son ward has 70 households subject to housing relocation.
Up to now, in Linh Son ward, compensation work is basically completed when 253/260 households have been inventoried. Approving and paying compensation money to 208 households, with an area of more than 6.59ha, total cost of over 72.5 billion VND.
After receiving the compensation money, the households handed over the land for the contractor to implement the project.
In Quan Trieu ward, functional agencies have conducted inventory of over 116 households and 1 organization. Approving and paying compensation money to 47 households. Total cost is about 24.2 billion VND.
For some cases that still have problems, functional agencies are proceeding to remove them, with the goal of soon handing over clean ground to the construction contractor.
According to the plan, the Quang Vinh 1 and Quang Vinh 2 bridge projects will be completed in 2026. After completion, the works will contribute to reducing traffic pressure in the central area of Thai Nguyen province.
At the same time, opening up new development space, creating motivation to attract investment and promote socio-economic development in neighboring localities.
