Recently, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 3007/QD-UBND approving the investment policy to adjust the Quan Nam - Thuy Tu Eco-urban Area project (Golden Hills). This is considered an important turning point, removing prolonged legal bottlenecks, creating conditions for the project to resume implementation.
According to the adjustment decision, the total investment of the project increased from about 4,400 billion VND to nearly 15,500 billion VND. The project also supplements social infrastructure, adjusts the implementation progress to suit the new scale. The investor said that it will urgently review and resolve customer recommendations, and synchronously implement items such as schools, hospitals, sports areas and invest in 6 apartment buildings combined with services with more than 4,000 apartments.
Along with that, the city's removal of obstacles for the 50m Nguyen Tat Thanh extended road project will create conditions for infrastructure connection, forming a chain of utilities, contributing to the development of the Northwest Da Nang area associated with key projects such as the Free Trade Zone, Lien Chieu Port, concentrated Information Technology Zone and High-Tech Zone.
Inspecting the project on July 16, Da Nang City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang assessed Golden Hills as the first project to be dismantled under the special mechanism of the National Assembly. He requested agencies to continue to complete legal procedures, and investors to accelerate progress to soon restart construction, thereby unlocking resources, creating jobs, promoting growth and spreading the spirit of accompanying businesses in improving the city's investment environment.
The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee also praised and acknowledged the efforts of the city's functional agencies in removing obstacles, and at the same time proposed to try to speed up the remaining legal procedures to soon restart this project in August 2026 as committed. When construction has started, it is requested that investors deploy equipment, machinery, and human resources quickly. In the plan, it is until 2035, but the time and progress milestone can be adjusted so that it can be accelerated further.
