The overpass at the Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 intersection is designed with the image of "flying bird" combined with "Ha Dong silk strip", contributing to solving traffic bottlenecks at the southwest gateway of the Capital.
Hanoi City People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 2330/QD-UBND approving the investment project to build an overpass at the Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 intersection. The project is invested by the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
According to the approval, the project is built in a direct traffic direction on the Le Trong Tan - Van Khe axis, crossing National Highway 6 and the Cat Linh - Ha Dong urban railway line.
The bridge has a scale of 4 lanes, a cross-section width of 16m. The total length of the bridge and approach roads is about 1,000m, of which the main bridge section is about 668m long.
The project has a total investment of 821.622 billion VND from the Hanoi City budget; of which construction costs account for more than 634 billion VND. The expected implementation time is from 2026 to 2028.
Along with the construction of the main bridge, the project will simultaneously implement the following items: Reorganizing traffic in the intersection area, adjusting the traffic light system, relocating technical infrastructure and green trees to ensure traffic safety and enhance urban aesthetics.
According to the architectural plan, the project is shaped like the image of a "flying bird", symbolizing the movement and breakthrough development of the western area of the Capital. The architectural highlight of the bridge is inspired by the image of the "Ha Dong silk strip" - a unique cultural and historical feature of the traditional land.
The perspective shows that the project is arranged with a system of access roads and connecting branches to separate traffic flows and resolve traffic conflicts at this complex intersection.
In addition, the architectural lighting system is also researched synchronously to create a modern appearance, increasing the ability to recognize buildings at night. The green space and surrounding landscape are arranged harmoniously, contributing to improving the urban space of the area.
Currently, the first survey drills serving the project have begun to be deployed.
Hanoi City People's Committee requests the investor to closely coordinate with relevant units, strengthen quality management, investment supervision, and ensure traffic safety and labor safety throughout the construction process.
The completed project is expected to thoroughly solve the congestion situation at the Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 intersection, gradually completing transport infrastructure according to the Capital's transport development plan to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
