The section connecting Ly Thanh Tong Street, to the section connecting the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway is expected to be renamed Tien Dung Street, a 1.2km long, 10-12m wide road.
Notably, Hanoi City wants to restore Hang Long Street for the section from Tran Binh Trong Street intersection to Yet Kieu Dai Street intersection, 174 m long, 13 m wide, 7 m wide roadway, 3 m sidewalks on each side.
This road has been paved with asphalt, sidewalks, trees, and urban lighting. Many agency headquarters are located on this street such as: headquarters of Lao Dong Capital Newspaper, Institute of Occupational Safety and Hygiene Science, Guest House of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, behind the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace.
Hang Long is the name of an ancient town in the old Hoan Kiem district. Previously, this area belonged to Cung Tien village, Tien Nghiem commune, Tho Xuong district. The name of Hang Long Street is said to have appeared around the end of the Le Dynasty in the early Nguyen Dynasty and has been renamed many times.
Hanoi also plans to name the following streets and streets: Nguyen Huu Lieu Street: For the section from the intersection connecting Do Nhuan Street at SunGroup Hospital building, opposite Hoa Binh Park gate, to the intersection of the diplomatic Corps internal road at Westlink International School.
