In recent days, public opinion in Da Nang City and many Central provinces has been stirred up after the traditional Quang Nam lottery ticket lottery draw on July 1, 2025.
The reason is that in the special tournament - which was the most anticipated - an unusual situation arose: the initial winning number was announced as 923355, but just a few minutes later it was corrected to 923352.
This unexpected situation occurred right in a live TV show organized by Quang Nam Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. in coordination with Da Nang Radio and Television Station.
Some people watching the program reported, the announcer clearly read the line 923355 in the first announcement. However, not long after, this announcer re-reads the result as 923352 - causing many people to panic, not knowing which row of numbers is the correct result.
Some websites and electronic newspapers even later posted incorrect results, making the information even more chaotic.
Lottery company speaks out: Employee holds the wrong license plate
On July 7, Mr. Vo Nhu Dao - Deputy Director of Quang Nam Lottery One Member Co., Ltd. - confirmed that the incident was due to employees participating in the lottery holding the wrong board at the time of announcing the special prize.
The draw results were completely accurate, the balls gave the special winning line of 923352. However, the female employee in charge of the final position mistakenly took board 2 as 5, causing the initial display row to be incorrect. The announcer read this incorrect display.
Immediately after discovering the mistake, the drawing supervision board reminded and requested to adjust the correct number according to the result of the rotation ball. The announcer later read it again accurately.
Mr. Dao added that he himself also received many calls from people wondering after the filming. "We have reviewed the entire process and confirmed that it was just a rare incident with the display of a license plate, there were absolutely no errors in the draw".
The clip of the draw program still recorded on the TV Station's official website also clearly shows the mistake in the moment of the board chairman, but has been adjusted in time.
